I think you'll agree with me that learning how to start affiliate marketing isn't as easy as everyone makes it seem. In this article I want to tell you why that is and what you can do about affiliate marketing failure. I'll be doing that by walking you through the the reasons why these two biggest failures (that I talk about may in fact turn out to be the reasons a person can eventually succeed.

Before you start affiliate marketing, disarray typically precedes it. That means chaos, failure and utter doom make great recipes for success.
You might have heard several quotes like, "That which does not kill me makes me stronger" - Friedrich NietZsche. Or "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
One of my favorites from Rocky Balboa -- Life ..."ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!"
Well, Affiliate Marketing failure follows the same principle... You win some and you lose some, but only if you keep moving forward.
Believe it, or not this is the best way to start affiliate marketing. In all seriousness, "by planning to fail, but with the intentions of using that to reach your next failure point. This concept is a lot like working out at the gym! You might have heard that doing repetitions on a particular muscle group until you can't can’t complete another one is the best way to incur muscle growth.

With that said, when you start affiliate marketing you will fail, but let that train your mental muscle sort-a-speak. ...Get made stronger... Keep moving forward and you will begin to attract the success you were looking for.
The only time someone is a complete failure in my opinion isn't until they begin to blame someone else for their issues.
It's true. ...Someone may be more responsible for the obstacles in your life, but unless you find a way to learn from them you'll never change. Everything is difficult before it's easy.
In other words, life is an investment spent cashing in on the things we find challenging, but end up getting the most success out of. This includes affiliate marketing failure. "That's how winning is done!"
When you start affiliate marketing there are 2 points you should take note of when allowing the brink of failure to push you towards the most success.
#1 Spend More Money Than You Make
You will literally need to learn how to lose money, before you can learn how to gain it back. For example, investing in traffic may be a neccessary expense for you in your business. And before one can even begin to think about investing in traffic, they need to think ROI (return on your investment).
Don’t think of investing in traffic as just spending money. You’re investing in it so you can build an income generating machine!
For example, if spending $100 in your first month on traffic earned you $200 back you’ve earned a nice income. Not many people can say this within even 2-5 months of joining most of these affiliate marketing systems and MLM's.
But let's say you don't make anything that first month. Does that mean the system you bought into is broke? Is it a scam? Well, I don't know if it's a scam or not, but what I do know is if you don't 'eat the chicken and spit out the bone,' meaning applying what you've learned then you'll never make money.
In a business you have to consistently and constantly make adjustments to optimize and scale. It's how the greatest athletes in the world get gold medals. From the smallest details they expect perfection on every single performance, by correcting the previous one!
Unfortunately, most people won’t see the big picture of even $25 dollars made back on $100, because on average they're quitting by month 3, frustrated about only reaching a 75% profit monthly profit margin.
Again, they forget about the immense value of the income producing asset they’re creating. If only they could think like an investor, they’d be ahead of 90% of the competition.
The single, most important factor here is for Affiliate Marketers to continue taking measures after the leads start coming in. They seem to simply forget about the importance of their list and the follow up conversions.
That is a huge mistake on their part if they forget this.
If they actually work with their leads by employing things like follow up emails, mobile messaging, and social remarketing, to name a few they are more than likely to increase their bottom lines
#2 Run Poorly Designed Funnels
Figuring out your first product to sell as an Affiliate Marketer is exciting, but your biggest achievement is actually selling it. After you realize the spam and pitching fest got you nowhere, you most likely turned to funnel creation.
For many people, funnel creation is the first step to a well crafted series of engagements that will lead to profitable and recurring income.
For others, this first funnel becomes their only funnel. Remaining poorly designed either because it's missing critical elements or it doesn't suit their audience. As a result, the funnel ultimately fails to generate the conversions and sales they hoped for.
The takeaway is simple here. Your first funnel generally sucks. At least most of them. I know mine did. ...But that's ok!!! In fact, it's usually the ugly landing pages on funnels that convert the the best. Strange, I know.
The better point... No matter what's created you have a way better chance at improved results through the design of multiple funnel versions against several different products. What I mean by that is you should test multiple products on multiple versions of your landing pages.
There are several elements on a funnel that you need consider changing when crafting a different version. This includes things like landing pages, copy, call to actions, and even your email follow ups. Those are all critical for testing to find the most success as an Affiliate Marketer through anyone one product or offer.
To be honest, it doesn’t matter how great you think the offer is or the potential profits it can bring. If you don’t do your due diligence and start testing it against similar products out there, you won’t know which one will bring the highest conversions and revenue according to your audience.
Although theses tests start with the offer, you are also testing your opt-in, thank you, and any other pages to see which versions drive you the most traffic.
These tests are known as split tests. That means your landing page variations, including different colors, style of buttons, images, calls to action, page format, bonuses and etc. are tested against each other to see which page gets the most engagement, opt-ins and/or sales.
